Safety and health

The Queensland resource sector’s number one priority is safety.

Queensland is proud to be a world leader in health and safety innovation and boasts one of the best safety records globally.

With a shared goal of zero harm, the QRC Board Health and Safety Committee has developed a three-year health and safety plan, which was renewed in 2012.

The main themes of the health and safety plan are:

People focused – zero harm
Risk management
Health and safety leadership
Legislative framework
Sharing and influencing.
A key role of QRC is to secure a legislative and regulatory environment where Queensland can maintain its place as a leader in safety and health performance.
