Education and scholarships

The QRC-initiated educational website OresomeResources is an Australian first providing school teachers—junior, middle and high—and students, a one-stop shop for free education resources about minerals and energy.

All units of work have been developed and aligned to the new Australian Curriculum across key learning areas of maths, science, technology and social science.

In 2011 OresomeResources was made a national website incorporating content from other state and national minerals and energy chambers.

OresomeResources features opportunities for teacher professional development (TPD) for registered and pre-service teachers across Australia.

The QRC also offers two scholarships and two bursaries each year to recognise excellence in teaching minerals and energy.
